Traceability consists in being able to reconstruct the history of a product from its birth until its final destination using registered codes. The objective is to be able to provide information rapidly about the product information throughout the whole food chain.
Regulation 178/2002 establishes the obligation of the implementation of systems of traceability for animals used for food produce.
